Why are there no chat sites for people like myself who suffer from Agoraphobia?

I have looked through the web to find a chat room for people like myself who suffer from this awful condition in the uk why are there none it helps to know and share your feelings and thoughts with others who are going through the same things as yourself

Hi Julie,

As the first poster says, why don’t you set up a group online, I’m sure it would be successful. Agoraphobia can be a devastating condition. The sufferer can miss out on so many things that others take for granted – playing in the park with their children, family days out, nipping to the shop when they have run out of milk, experiencing the flowers that grow in the garden, passing the time of day with the neighbours etc etc etc. I know, I have been there and done that. Although I am what most would class as recovered, I still yet 15 years on, have days where being outside my home really does not appeal to me. On these days, I force myself outside just to make sure that the agoraphobia does not creep back in and take hold again.

I know how difficult it is for you and wish you well, I hope at sometime soon you manage to over come this condition and you go on to have a wonderful and happy future without fear of what is on the other side of your front door. If you want someone to listen, feel free to contact me.

Wishing you well :-)

Anxiety Attack Symptoms To Know About

The Symptoms Of A Panic Attack hit millions of people every day. When the person doesn’t know it’s a Panic Attack as opposed to something else, it can be especially difficult. The problem is these attacks can occur without any advanced notice.

Even more terrifying, they can strike while you are sleeping. The fear can be way out of proportion for the symptoms if the person is not familiar with Panic Attacks. We will be taking a look at a few of the many possible Symptoms Of A Panic Attack.

One symptom of these attacks is a suddenly racing heart. This refers to a sudden increase to heart rate. When a person experiences a rapidly beating heart this can cause them to feel terrified. Just about anyone would think they may be having a heart attack, or worse, that they may suddenly die.

This is a very serious symptom, obviously. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience this symptom.

Another type of symptom commonly seen with Panic Disorders, which is merely frequent Panic Attacks, is to feel faint, dizzy, or very weak. These symptoms, which overlap, can also be caused by other physical problems.

Your doctor will want to run some tests to rule out any other possible issues. These symptoms can be very dangerous, especially if they strike while you’re at work or while you’re operating a vehicle. This can be a serious problem for the people who experience these symptoms.

One of the most dire symptoms associated with panic attacks is feeling like you’re choking. Because a panic attack can last as long as fifteen minutes, this is especially terrifying. Sometimes, the symptoms can last longer, however. So it is highly stressful to feel as if you’re choking, even though you’re not. If you have never felt this symptoms before, then you would rightly be extremely concerned and totally stressed-out by it. Panic attacks, which are never pleasant, are not all in the head. They are serious and should be approached as such. A person who has had at least one panic attack is at a greater risk for experiencing another one. You need to see your doctor immediately if you have symptoms that appear out of the ordinary or potentially serious.

What To Search For When You Presume Signs Of An Anxiety Attack

If you suffer from Panic Attacks, then you know how traumatic and even terrifying they can be. How frequently they happen determines a lot of things. It’s possible to realize that you are having a Panic Attack if you don’t have them very often. Instead, you think the symptom is the real problem. Depending on what the symptom is, this can cause a great deal of stress and fear. The duration of a Panic Attack is usually not very long. They are usually over within ten minutes. Some Symptoms can last much longer, however.

Some of the extraordinary manifestations of a panic attack implying less physical sensations, at least in the impression we often think about them. Some people are confronted with signs involving a sensation of “being dreamlike.” There is a feeling of existing in futility, or feelings of marked disconnection from one’s actual self. As you can envision, that must be a rather problematical set of sensations to have to contend with, furthermore it can make a person feel really frightened and frazzled. Symptoms similar to coming down with the flu, like having the chills, have also been described by those suffering a panic attack. This can make the situation even more confusing. There are other such feelings that can be related to Panic Attacks. So this is something that you should talk to your doctor about, and part of the reason is that you may think you are sick. When the symptom only last for a short time and don’t repeat themselves soon, then they were most likely due to a panic attack.

The limbs and extremities can be affected by panic attacks. The symptoms can be numbness or tingling in the fingers and hands, for example. This can be caused by a pinched nerve in the wrist, elbow, or the spinal column.

This can also indicate a mild heart attack or some other related issue. This can cause confusion for the person experiencing these symptoms because it’s difficult to know what to think. Other panic Attack Symptoms may occur or not as well.

When it comes to the differences in the sexes, women have to confront panic attack syndromes twice as often as men. Evidently, it is unknown why that is so. On the contrary, the most crucial end is you need to be aware of how often your signals take place. Quite frequently, for women, signals of panic attacks will come about early in adulthood. Despite everything, if you deem that you are experiencing syndromes from a panic attack, then set up an appointment with your doctor.
