Keeping Children Safe From Predators

Take your kids complaint seriously to protect your kids from internet predators and cyber bullies. It’s not about over-reacting – it’s about being there to support your child if he or she ever becomes a victim of internet predators.

The actual definition of a stalker is anyone who lavishes excessive amounts of unwanted or unsolicited attention on another person. This is even true of internet attention. Regardless of where this attention comes from it can be considered stalking if it is in fact excessive, unwanted or threatening in nature.

Thesis include effective stress management, development of positive self-esteem, and ability to delay gratification for longer periods of time. Moreover, it has been shown that children who have secure attachments are better equipped to handle the process of individuation during adolescence which facilitates healthier psychological adjustment in late adolescence (Boles, 1999). On the other hand, it has been shown that prolonged parental separation and/or abuse, neglect, or insensitivity to the child’s needs will ultimately lead to subsequent pathology (Sroufe, Carlson, Levy, & Egeland, 1999). Hence, an insecure attachment bond may predispose a child to further victimization or even to become a predator himself. For example, a longitudinal study conducted by Burge, Hummen, Davila, and Daley (1997) predicted eating disorders, substance abuse, and personality disorder symptomatology in individuals with Secure attachment not only protects the child from victimization, it also provides social competence and resilience for coping with adverse life events…insecure attachment patterns. Other risk factors of insecure attachment include drug use, greater incidence of Personality Disorders, and there has been some evidence connecting the lack of healthy attachment to dissociative identity disorder (Blizard, 1997). In addition, it has been shown that anxious/ resistantly attached infants develop more Anxiety Disorders during childhood and adolescence than securely attached infant s (War ren, Huston, Egeland, & Sroufe, 1997). Lack of affect regulation, poorself – concept, embedded rage, and faulty working models of intimacy increase the risk for victims of insecure attachment relationships to develop a more violent type of pathology.

One of the first areas that will aid you to protect your children from sex offenders is teaching them how to safely and securely use the internet and its tools. Although many children are more interested in talking with their friends while online, they are able to reach out to others and strangers are able to reach out to them. There are many ways to protect your children while online that you may wish to consider. You may want to purchase special computer software that is able to block your children from viewing vulgar activities and language as well as monitor the online activities, which they do partake.

It is easy to set up a MySpace page; you can upload any picture you like, add any information you want to.

Despite what many people believe there are ways to stop cyber stalkers. The easiest and most common method used to identify these predators is a reverse email look-up. This process allows an internet investigation to be conducted and pertinent information about the stalker to be identified. The information that can be obtained through this type of investigation includes the intimidator’s name, address and phone number, place of employment, internet service provider, browser, website activity and in some cases even the operating system and location of the computer used.

It is probably safe to say that this trend involving girl games involve can be attributed to the Japanese high-tech culture wherein there is practically a video game about anything. From 3D pet dogs and cats to having your very own cyber boyfriend or girlfriend, the Japanese are surely quick to be able to come up and develop all sorts of cute and fancy stuff. As for online girl games, these come in different forms, the more cutesy ones are usually made by the Japanese while the more career type of girl games are usually developed from the Western part of the globe.

Symptoms Of Anxiety Disorder In Teenagers

without comments

Is it too late to lengthen my lifespan/get healthy?

I was raised near Detroit, where the air quality is terrible and there are many environmental toxins. As a child and teenager, my mother did not have fresh foods available and candy, pop, and McDonalds were my dietary staples. Outside was an unsafe place to be. I smoked, drank, and abused prescriptions pills. I’ve suffered from many psychological problems, including debilitating Bipolar Symptoms And Anxiety. I wonder if my Bipolar disorder was exacerbated by my unhealthy lifestyle. Now I am 20, and attending college at U of M in Ann Arbor. I have completely changed my diet and I exercise regularly. I drink a lot of green tea, have a diet rich in omega 3 fatty acids, whole grains, low fat dairy, lots of vegetables, fruits, and unprocessed foods, as well as a multivitamin supplement. I quit smoking and am substance-free.
Is it too late to detoxify my body and lengthen my lifespan?

How terrific that you are getting serious about your health at the age of 20! You are rockin’ now and well ahead of the curve. So many people take the body for granted and don’t even think about it until it’s often too late –

Yes, mental health is greatly impacted by poor diet, especially if there are food allergies present. I would definitely recommend checking out www.enterolab.com and reading the f.a.q. section on gluten, inparticular. I have seen many of our wellness center clients reduce Anxiety And Depression greatly when they begin to get allergens out of their lives.

Tea is great. It has been such a part of our wellness center that we now travel to China and import teas to sell at our shop and online. Real loose leaf tea can’t be beat.

It is never too late to take care of yourself and every little good thing you do for yourself adds up!! Insofar as mental health stuff, I would also encourage the addition of meditation and yoga. Both will help mental flexibility and yoga will also help you with physical flexibility.

We need you healthy so keep taking care of yourself and being a good example for other.

May the best of health be yours!

People With Anxiety Problems

people with anxiety problems
Why do I continue to have an Anxiety problem around people when I have no reason to?

It is very confusing for me because I have this Anxiety problem around others during class or most public settings but I have nothing to be worried about. Its not anything too serious that deals with Panic Attacks or breathing problems. I just get nervous for no reason. A bit of trembling with my hands happen at certain times when I feel like I am being watched. Im not trying to impress anyone around me. Im not trying to act cool or perfect to get friends or a girl. To be honest I dont really care about that kind of stuff right now anymore so why is the problem still there.

Excercise does help me to lose some of the Nervousness but why do I need to lean on excercise and other things to calm myself down when others can be in my position and they are fine or look to be perfectly fine.

Everyone gets nervous on the inside but most people just don’t show it or learn how to hide it. I find I talk too much when I’m nervous, if I find myself babbling I try to stop talking or finish what I’m saying.

I also blush sometimes and there’s nothing I can do about it, just have to ride it out.

Probably the best thing you can do is take a few deep breaths, increasing your oxygen intake has a calming effect on the body. I also try to wear cooler clothing as if I get hot under the collar it can be very uncomfortable.

If this doesn’t help you can go to the doctor and they may even offer you medication which keep you feeling chilled, valium is a common one but it is quite addictive. Relaxation Techniques are much better for you, and having a girlfriend or boyfriend (sorry I didn’t catch your gender) will make you calmer in life, relaxed and feeling less concerned by social situations.
